I called for an urgent appointment since my cat could hardly void. I was able to get a same day appointment. If not for this, I would have driven down to Cruz ER which is a much longer drive. I knew my kitty had to be seen and treated the same day. Thanks for getting her in the same day! Karla is always so happy to help and the best person to have at the front of the office. The docs are all great too! Thank You!!

Warm, welcoming & professional. The staff put me & my pup at ease. Dr.Pawluk didn’t dumb anything down. She assumes her clients have invested time in educating themselves about the issues related to their beloved animal’s health and happiness. People not committed to ensuring the best care for our loyal, dependant, beautiful creatures can find an alternative. Power to the puppies! I highly recommend Island Hammock for their very reasonably priced care.
Staff are amazing! They remember Archimedes, compliment him, and just make me feel like they care about him. They also have an outdoor area for pets to walk around and Archimedes LOVES going out there!
I have taken my cat to Dr. Millington & Dr. Ford. Both veterinarians are excellent, compassionate and give great explanations on diagnosis and treatment.
From the moment you enter an until you leave, everyone is just so friendly but yet professional. Seamus doesn’t like to go to the vet but he doesn’t seem to be bother coming here. Most professional and friendly office I’ve ever taken my dog to! Absolutely recommend!

Dr. Ford was wonderful with my Flora Girl….she answered all my questions and concerns and guided me to make the best decision for my pet.
I called very concerned about my Daisy having difficulty walking I was taken care of professionally and staff were truly concerned.
Ziggy’s diagnosis was quick and to the point. He got a pill and the coughing stopped, he was a happy dog again. The assistant held him lovingly and he trusted her throughout.
I cannot praise this practice highly enough to do it justice. My dog Febe is terrified of all vet offices- shaking and pulling as soon as she approaches. But Daja the Vet Tech and Dr. Millington were game changers. They were so caring and spent a long time getting to know her, giving her massages and peanut butter, and asking me many important questions. By the time of her examination she was okay with them. Didn’t freak out. First time ever. (Ok she still hated the anal gland exam, but who doesn’t?). The front desk employees were also so thoughtful and helpful. I love this practice and their employees! So lucky to have them here.

I have never been to a better vet office. From walking in the door, to the way I am treated and the way Bailey is treated. Karla at the front desk knows me when I call, just by hearing my voice. I know Dr. Millington will take good care of Bailey when he has surgery. I just can’t say how happy I am to have Island Hammock here.
I have lived in many different states and moved to Key Largo two months ago. I had an emergency situation occur when my dog was attacked by a large dog. The entire staff handled this trauma in a caring and professional manner. They have been fabulous for the past two weeks and Romeo is happy and healing. This is truly a five-star Pet Hospital that I highly recommend.
Island Hammock Pet Hospital is a great place to bring your dog for routine check ups, behavioral issues and emergencies. Our Benny had an allergic reaction to an unknown substance, and he was seen quickly and effectively. I am thankful for their expert care and ability to squeeze him into an already busy day. They even followed up to make sure he was OK. Sincere thanks from Eddy, Tracy, Julian, Ranger and Benny.
Island Hammock Pet Hospital is one of the best vets office anywhere!! They are kind, compassionate, professional, cleanly and an all round wonderful group of people. We always feel safe taking our fur babies to them!
I have been bringing my two cats for the past 3 years and I have always had an excellent experience! Every thing is very clean and organized. The waiting area is never too crowded with other animals so my cats are always relaxed. The staff is professional and very sweet to my babies. I’m greatful to have this clinic in the Keys! They really do care for each pet and I highly recommend this clinic to anyone who truly cares for their pet(s).
Had an emergency with our 5 year old pup that had ingested something potentially life threatening and we were in town visiting family and it was a weekend. The staff and doctor at Island Hammock were fantastic. They took care of our fur baby, kept us aprised, explained everything to us, and answered all our questions. Thank you!

One of the best vet services I’ve ever received while being a dog owner for years. You’re dealing with supportive, compassionate, professional people from the front desk to techs to doctors who are there for you. My dog needed an emergency service, and they were able to accommodate us quickly and efficiently. Most importantly, the place was flawless, extremely clean, and the service came with a very reasonable cost. Dr. Edwards saw us, spent quite some time listening to our situation and outlining our options. We felt very comfortable with the plan and trusted the team with the solution provided. If you ever need your pet taken care of, this is the place to trust and come to!
Caring, patient, and thorough. Everyone from the receptionist to the vet techs to the doc are clearly animal lovers.
Veterinarians as well as nurses and front desk are always so kind and passionate. The nurses and veterinarian is so thorough and I feel good that my geriatric dog gets such great care.

Dr. Pawluk has always been great. Even through tragedy with my previous dogs, she’s been very helpful and caring. She shows compassion toward every dog, and Biscuit was no exception. She’s always very knowledgeable and considerate, as well as front desk staff and the vet helpers.

Island Hammock is absolutely a wonderful clinic. The Doctors are great. So is everybody else there. our cats get terrific care. And everyone goes completely out of their way to take care of everything we need!

I previously lived in key largo for a few years and in 2016ish had brought a stray cat I cared for to Island Hammock when he showed up injured at my door. They treated him and he fully recovered. Cut to 2024 and I’m down here on vacation and my dog had a suspected ear infection. She would not stop shaking her head and we were leaving town that morning with a long travel day ahead of us. I called IH and Dani the Receptionist was so kind and saw I had been there previously and talked to the vet about fitting me in. Unfortunately it wouldn’t work out but she was so empathetic she sent me a text of other neighboring vets to see if I could get my dog seen. I called around in 4 cities and only 1 in Miami could do it, but in a few hours. Cut back to Dani calling back saying they had a cancellation and could take Tilly in 30 mins. It was a miracle! I so appreciated being squeezed in by the staff here and for Dani going above and beyond to make it happen. Thank you so much!
As a new patient I felt comfortable taking my dog, Angel, to Island Hammock veterinary hospital. She received excellent care from Dr. Keiko and staff and I felt that Angel was comfortable there and was well taken care of. I will definitely return there for her canine needs.
Wow! Our first visit and I’m so very impressed! Extra courteous & kind. Nice facility. I have a nervous high-energy fox terrier that acts up all stressed at the vet, and these wonderful people took it in stride & got him calm enough for shots, ear cleaning & blood work! Patience 🙏of Saints! A very special thanks to everyone from check-in to check-out! Doc & assistant tech were awesome in explaining everything & giving us choices. It was ALL💕 about the dog from “Hello to Bye-Bye!”
This is a wonderful place. This staff is amazing. We were in from out of town and needed one of our dogs looked at. They got us right in, gave her a quick exam and fixed her injury. I highly recommend this place.
We have been to many vet offices. None have the same level of caring members like Island Hammock. They are amazing. We are so happy with them. They have helped us get through the “puppy” phase of our 2 new puppies. They are professional, caring and very service orientated. We are fortunate to have such a great vet in Key Largo.
My mastiff Copper loves this place and the staff are always receptive and caring. We wouldn’t want to take him anywhere else. Thank you for always being such a great clinic. Although the pricing is a bit more than some other pet clinics one must realize that living in the Florida keys does require a bit of a premium for services rendered than most other places that do not have as high of a cost of living. I find them reasonable and am happy to have such a great place so close to home.
